Waterfall Adventures

Chase Caribbean waterfalls

The Caribbean's volcanic geography has created some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, and the best way to experience them is to get soaking wet. Jamaica's Dunn's River Falls is the icon — a 180-metre terraced cascade that visitors climb hand-in-hand with a guide, stepping through natural pools as the falls thunder around them. In the Dominican Republic, the 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua offer a multi-level adventure where you jump, slide, and swim through 27 cascading limestone pools. St. Lucia's Toraille Waterfall drops into a garden pool perfect for swimming. Costa Rica's La Fortuna Waterfall plunges 70 metres into a volcanic lagoon at the base of Arenal. For the truly adventurous, waterfall rappelling (canyoneering) is available in Costa Rica and Dominica — descending the face of a waterfall on a rope into the pool below.
